Castle Irwell, John Lester, Eddie Colman, Bramall, Horlock and Constantine Courts' ‘Quieter Area’
If you are an individual that prefers a more peaceful atmosphere, or someone who is easily distracted by the noise of others, then you may wish to request to be allocated within one of the designated quieter accommodation areas at Castle Irwell, John Lester Court, Horlock Court and Constantine Court.
Students living in quieter accommodation are asked to adhere to certain conditions, which are slightly different from those operating at the rest of the accommodation areas, these include:
- Any noise from TVs/Computers, or music that is played in bedrooms should be kept to a low level at all times in the day and night (‘low level’ is categorised as being not significantly heard from outside of the bedroom)
- No music systems to be set up or played in the communal dining area.
- To refrain from inviting a large number of guests/visitors over at any one time.
Whilst we cannot guarantee noise will always be kept to a minimum, it is the intention that the ‘Quieter Area’ will be an opportunity for us to place like minded people together, and try to create a more harmonious living environment for our residents.
This option is dependent upon the consideration and co-operation of other residents.
