Accommodation Charges

Student accommodation at the University of Salford is non profit making and does not receive any external funding or subsidy, yet has to meet all normal running costs such as security, caretaking, grounds maintenance, utilities, day to day repairs, improvements and administration.

Accommodation charges are reviewed each year, and we will need to take account of all known or anticipated increases in the cost of service provision, and the cost of identified capital works. Additional income is anticipated from the letting of accommodation during the summer months, and any such income is used to offset service costs. The proposed charges for the forthcoming year are considered and agreed by both the University of Salford Students’ Union and Strategic Leadership Team before details of the charges are published on the Accommodation website pages.
